THIS GIN IS HOW WE SERVE THE LAND
Juniper isn't just an ingredient in our gin—it's our foundation. While most distillers rely on commercial berries, grown, harvested, and dried overseas - we harvest ours by hand from our own California ranch. The berries travel less than 70 miles in their lifetime, traveling from a wild piece of land that uses no chemicals or irrigation - just natural, regenerative amendments, to a small batch distillery that focuses on quality above all else.
Our process and our land tells a story of resilience. Wildfires have devastated the region's mature junipers, claiming half our acreage. But with each bottle of HENWILL gin sold, we plant new life. We're not just making spirits—we're rebuilding an ecosystem. Before 2030 we will have our entire ranch replanted and reestablished, and we're already looking for additional land we can re-green.
Juniper takes decades to mature. The ancient Greeks said the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, but the second best is now. That's our mission: crafting exceptional gin to restore our land, one bottle, one berry, one bush at a time.
